The solar blanket for my 24" AG pool is starting to tear at the seams. This is my third season with this blanket. I know from reading other posts on this forum that the lifespan of solar blanket is about three seasons. Other than the tearing at the seams and a few popped bubbles, the blanket is still in good shape. I'd like to squeeze out another season or two if I can repair the seams.

Does anyone have suggestions or thoughts on what type of tape to use to repair the seams? I've seen references to using Gorilla Tape. I've also come across tarp repair tape and solar blanket tape online. The costs are relatively cheap - anywhere from $6 to $18 for a roll. I'm more concerned with how fast the tape will break down in the sun and whether I need to be concerned with adhesives gumming up my filter and pump. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kevin Redding
