    No, unfortunately it doesn't work that way. You'll find that you lose a percentage of chlorine daily. For example, say you add chlorine to 6 ppm and lose 2 ppm during the day.....that's about 1/3 of your total. If you add chlorine to 15, you'll find that you lose approximately 5 during the day...1/3 of the total. Higher CYA levels tend to cut the percentage a little bit, but you can't dose the pool to very high levels and expect the ppm lost daily to remain constant.

    Do you have a friend or neighbor that could stop by and add a bottle every couple of days or so?

    You could always just put a few slow dissolve pucks in the skimmers and keep the pump running. That should easily handle the needs for the week.
