When I posted the question last night, I knew someone would ask that, but we had a gazillion police cars and police officers swarming the house next door, so I did not want to go out to the pool at that time. I will check on the model etc tonight.

There is nothing that says waste on it. We looked yesterday.

We have never had a problem like this before and everything else seems to be working just fine. However, the pool is gross gross gross, and I am wondering if the gunk that has already (in just a few hours of operation) gotten in the basket on the motor might be causing the problem.
