Can't get bleach. shock-it ?

I think there are too many people around me using the BBB lol. everytime i go to walmart they are out (past 2 weeks). My pool is still green. How do judge the cl in a bag of the super sock it stuff. Like i know that a gal of bleach is 6% so 10k water should be 6ppm. I'm ready to get in the pool lol.

You can use that, but you need to reallize that your CYA level will rise with it. If you could use the stabalizer, go ahead, but if you don't need it, all you are doing is increasing your need to keep a higher residual of chlorine for a sanitary pool.

It's the none stabalizer super sock-it. I did a search on the forum and from what i read one bag is about 1 1/2gal 5% bleach. I'll be going back to walmart today if they have bleach i'll buy it if not i guess more sock-it.

Sure - I use cal-hypo packets (which don't have stabilizer) once in a while as a substitute for bleach. Sometimes, if they are on sale, they are price competitive with bleach. What kind of pool is it?

Just went to kmart they had "liquid shock" 10% for $3.50 so i'm using that now. I'll see if walmart has anymore bleach this weekend. I've seen two other people on here that use the bbb and they go to the same walmart as i do lol. it a above ground.
