    It's OK to use Trichlor for a while--you need some CYA and your pH is OK, but if it drops a little, no harm. But watch your CYA levels and pH to see that the first doesn't go above 50 and the latter doesn't go below 7.2.

    You need to get your FC up, though.

    Thanks CarlD for your help.

    Last night we dumped in 6 galllons of bleach and left the filter run all night. The pool still looks the same nice and green. We tested for TC this morning and it was .5.

    I just figured out that I posted this in the wrong forum though. We have the TF-100 test kit. I will repost in the correct section.
