Moles???

We are going to install an AGP and in the past couple of years we have had a small problem with moles. They seem to build their tunnels all around our fence line. In the summer, my dog runs lengths of the fence back and forth, back and forth. I know he is chasing the moles: he's a daschund. They are badger hunters ?? My husband has caught several of the moles by watching them burrowing and sticks a shovel in the ground, blocks off their path and catches them. He releases them in Shelby Farms. Should we put something down in addition to the sand. Thanks.

I have moles - fortunately, the little buggers don't go near my pool, rather, they stay close to our creek. My dog is very good at catching them (or anything else that so much as moves) when I forget to feed him.....
