    Default Volute

We have an older 3 hp A O Smith pool pump, and the volute is cracked. We're having trouble finding the part, of course, but hate to replace the whole thing that's still working. Anyone know of a parts place that might have this? Or any suggestions of how to make a great repair? Thanks for any info.

Cofa, as you've been here as long as I, I won't say 'welcome to the forum', but will say, nice to see you posting You might want to try APC (Aquatic Parts Co.) they have a website and will sell to the public (unlike many of the sources I use to get pool stuff, which only sell to approved pool companies). Have you tried contacting A.O. Smith? If you have the exact part # for it, that would help in locating one.

I wish you well in finding one so you don't have to replace the whole pump!

Thanks, Waste. I finally found it at poolplaza with the best price. It was listed under Sta-Rite pump parts as a tank body. Appreciate your response.
