Default Any experience with pentair whisperflo pumps?

I'm shopping for a new pump. Is there snything better: more quiet or efficient or trouble-free?

Try using the search feature for 'whisperflo pumps'. I know I've read discussions including them before.

More efficient is the Pentair Intelliflow pump that I just installed, don't know about trouble free -- get back to me in a year or two

I just replaced a 5 year old Hayward Northstar with a Whisperflo. Everbody I know that has a Whisperflo has had nothing but great service.

I have an uprated 1.5 hp whisperflo (same pump as the full rated 1 hp) for may main pump and a 1 hp pentair pinnnacle, also uprated to it is equivalent to a 3/4 hp full rated, for my water features/cleaner. The whispherflo is MUCH quiter than the pinnacle.
Edit: The Pinnacle is still a pretty quiet pump compared to some others I have heard.

The whisperflo is definitely quieter than the Northstar. I have a two speed Whisperflo. On high speed it makes half the noise of the Northstar. When it is on low it is barely audible.
