did some yard work this afternoon and worked up a sweat so I took the plunge... The water's not quite warm enough to stick around in but not so cold you can walk on it.![]()
The days are heating up into the 90's now so it will not be long.![]()

We keep thinking that too, then we get a darned cold front! Water temp is now in the low 70s....it won't be long here either.

Around here, we are still waiting for the rest of the stuff off of the flowering trees to fall before we uncover the pool. West Virginia is full of flowering trees, but I don't mind. They are beautiful and the best part of spring in my opinion. With our solar heat panel, we typically can swim mid-May. Hope that will be the case this year as well.
Ahh, you guys have it way too easy. Up here in NH the pool water is about 50 degrees. Of course the kids want to jump right in (I took the winter cover off on Friday as it was about 80 outside) but I have to make them wait awhile while the heat pump does it's thing.
Water dropped to the low 50's here--thought it was warmer but I think my son mis-read the high-tech infrared thermometer. Up to my elbow is more than too cold for me!

The heat pump has been cranking and I may get the water up to 70 today, at least warm enough for the kids to go in. It will need a couple more days before I take the plunge though.
