Don't know how well Aquacal works in your neck of the woods (Perhaps Poolsean will see this and chip in--he works for them) but I have one and it's an EXCELLENT heat pump! (We also sell them where I work.) Since you live in a cold climate you would probably want one of the reverse cycle models. Most people think the only advantage to these is that they can also cool the pool in the heat of summer but they can heat the pool in much lower ambient air temperature (down to freezing!) so they will actually extend your swim seaon longer than a straight heat one.
