We recently experienced some high winds that blew our patio furniture into the pool. The tempered glass table-top went in. I'm not sure how it exactly happened, it either broke on its way in, or during my attempts to take it out.

Either way, I have broken glass at the bottom of my pebble pool.

Luckily, I live near Phoenix, Arizona, so I'm not worried about winter freezes, etc. But the only way I'm going to be able to get into the pool (now below 60F) and remove the table frame (and big pieces of glass) is if I drain it. Do any of you have any suggestions about how I can get rid of the smaller pieces? BTW, I have an in-floor cleaning system.

Here is my plan of attack.
1. Drain pool using pool pump (pull only from main drain) - In process
2. Remove table frame and large pieces of glass by hand.
3. Shop vac the pool.
4. Refill the pool and let the in-floor cleaners do the rest.

I would appreciate any other suggestions or warnings.

Also, do any of you have any other maintenance suggestions while I have the pool drained?
