Ok so ive read all the threads about closing pools for winter most talk about snow and freezing. As i live in Southern cal near Palm springs guess freezing pipes is not a problem . so what do i need to do to look after my pool during the winter. Where do i keep the chem levels ??
30x15 ig gunite pool de filter 1 skimmer and 3 returns all underground.
Thanks.

Having done construction and service for 4 pool companies in 4 states starting in 1988, what I know about pools could fill a couple of books - what I don't know could fill libraries
Just keep the chem levels where they normally stay....which won't be hard since as the water gets cooler your chlorine consumption drastically drops. Run the pump overnight when there's a danger of freezing. That's about it!! It's SOOO much easier than having to close and re-open again!![]()
