    Default Kool-Deck with Algae Problem..will stain/sealer help

We put a IG pool in about year ago and there was/is one low spot in the deck that holds water when it rains. My only negative from PB. Anyhow it is bone colored Kool-Deck and I have algae problems this time of year because some of the deck is almost full shade. Is worst at the puddle but is other places as well. If I stain/seal the deck will it be more resistant to algae growth? I am tired of pressure washing it every 2-3 months.
