Default New gunite, tinted! Will shock hut this?

Question is in the title, anyone know if I can super-shock my pool, I got tinted gunite this time and am scared to shock too much in case it would fade. Its been in place since may 13 so I figure it is cured but all the same... I think this is why I have cloudy water, fear of the shock!

No, your gunite won't fade as long as you don't throw in any chlorine that will lay on the bottom. You can use regular laundry bleach and follow the "best guess chart" and use the bleach calc to see how much you need to add. You can also use calhypo (bag shock), but make sure you either put it in the skimmer or put it in a bucket of water to dissolve it before you put it in the pool. Do not add water to the bag shock, always add the shock to water. Feel free to ask any questions you may have
