    Default Aquabots

    Hello,

My Aquabot Turbo, which has been a faithful cleaner for us, needs to be replaced. I was originally just going to replace it with a new Turbo model, but the online store I spoke with wanted to sell me on the Aquabot Bravo - for about the same price as the Turbo (and a big discount from their online price).

I've read here that the Bravo is a Blue Diamond clone (no experience with that model). I'm naturally a bit suspicious of any model that a store wants to discount. But, I've had great luck with Aquabot in general, so I'm wondering if anyone has any opinions regarding Turbo vs. Bravo.

    Thanks!

I have the bravo - it is my second year, and had to return the bravo last year, it needed a new propeller. It does have a 4 year warranty, so it didn't cost me anything. This year it stopped working and first they had me send back the power box - the new one didn't work - so then they picked up the whole aquabot - at their expense. It needed a new motor - after many different conversations I spoke to the owner and he said that if the propeller was changed, they should have done the whole motor because it goes hand in hand Anyway they did fix it and so far it is doing well. Both times they tried to tell me I had to pay $80.00 for something, but I held my ground and it didn't cost me anything but time. It is my second aquabot - I had the regular one that lasted 6 years, then I replaced it with this one because of the warranty. Aquabots are great, but the parts are very expensive, that's why I went with the one with the 4 year warranty. Hope this helps - I would get another one, because when it works, it is the best.

Yes, I agree - I'm a big fan of Aquabots! I need to check, though, because I'm pretty certain this Bravo did not come with a 4 year warranty. Do you prefer the Bravo to your previous model?

I know the Turbo I now have takes 7 hours to clean, and the Bravo is supposed to be faster. But yes, very expensive parts.

Yes, the bravo is very fast - it cleans my pool in about an hour. If I don't shut it off, it stays on about 3 hours. My old aquabot ran for 7 hours. I got mine through Aqua Distributers.

Ahh - Aquadistributors is the company I'm dealing with, but now only a 2 year warranty is offered on the Bravo. And, only 1 year on the Turbo. But I'm glad to hear that they are reputable to deal with.

    Thanks for letting me know!
