make whirlpools for the kids to float in - it's hard work trying to run in a pool.
Another thing I do is to tow my 8 yr old around on his boogie board - he loves it!
I'm with Phillbo! The aerobic part is when you get out to go to the cooler for another.![]()

Take a water aerobics class at another local pool; then you'll know what you can do in your pool.
Also, there's a nicely illustrated book, "Aqua Fitness: The low-impact total body fitness workout," by Mimi Rodriguez Adami (DK Publishing, copyright 2002) that has loads of exercises to do in the pool; some with and some without extra floats, some in shallow water, some in deep water. About $15.
