Default Does Waste Draining remove DE Powder

Live in Florida and on many occassion over the last 6 weeks have had to turn the filter to Waste (not backwash) to drain excessive rain water.

Was told by someone that this cuases a loss of DE powder.

Does this setting remove any DE filter powder during the process.

    Thanks for any advice.

Thumbs up Re: Does Waste Draining revoe DE Powder

Bell, as long as the multiport is working properly - you will not loose any DE when emptying the pool to (ahem ) waste.
