Just got home from Leslies again.
    fc--------5
    tc-------5
    ph------7.4
    alk-----120
    ch-----230
    cya-----30
Bought a big DPD test kit. The cL readings above are not accurate because they are the max readings she can read. She did not bother to dilute the sample. I tested FC to 15ppm with my new test kit. I did not test TC. Leslies says my phosphates are high and sold me a 36 dollar bottle of Phos free. Should I use it or take it back? I also got more CYA but will wait until after shocking cycle is complete before adding more to get to CYA of 80.

I already did. I took it back after reading some of the other posts about it. I printed some of them for the Leslies lady. She was not impressed. Still shocking!. Although I did accidentally let the level drop to 7.5 today, I immediately added more bleach.

It all seemed to work. All the algae appears to be gone. I followed the direction here as best I could. I alsc cleared up all my rust stains with absorbic acid and used metal free to get rid of the metal. Thanks for all the help!
