I run my pump with the cover on. I don't add chlorine with the cover on, but I don't see the harm with the pump running.
I just got a solar cover this summer and BOY it works great. I have solar heating and a gas heater. I have not had to use the gas heater at all with the solar cover this summer, so saving lots of $$$$.
I am wondering if it is okay to run the pool with the cover on. I didn't see why it would matter, but another pool owner told me your not supposed to. Anyone know?
Thanks!!
Elle

Heating? Great info on why a solar cover saves $$$?

More often than not our cover is on when the pump is running. We keep it covered unless we plan to use it - it keeps the crud out of the pool.
Beats driving to the lake!
