Hello all, I just replaced the 500 watt bulb in my Pentair amerilite fixture.

After a quick search here, I found out most of what I needed. The pool store did not have the black rubber gasket in stock, but did have the bulb, around 13 bucks. My pool was filled, and luckily they left me enough slack in the electrical cord to remove it and place it on my concrete decking. I disassembled it and took the bulb and gasket to my pool store. Since they
didn't have the gasket, I asked the fellow behind the counter and he said it looked pretty good (3 yrs old) he did recommend some grease for it...The
same stuff they use for o-rings in pool pumps, teflon based I believe.

I smeared some around the entire gasket and reassembled. Good as new.
A bit tricky reinstalling the light and getting the screw in the trim ring, so I hopped in and put on the goggles. Perfect.
