What chlorine level does bleachcalc say that 2 cups would give that amount of water?
If it's a hot sunny day, the chlorine level will also drop very quickly.
Hey all,
A lady friend just set up a Baby Pool yesterday.
I don't know if the kids swam in it yesterday or not. I am guessin they did.
The water sat all night.
It is the semi-hard sided, not the blue ones or the blue ring top.
It has those sides that are firm plastic and stand up when you put the water in it. You can step on the side to drain it.
She figures she won't add CYA b/c they will probably drain and refill whenever they want to use it.
I need to know how much bleach to put in her pool for her.
It is 8' diameter & 1.5 feet deep ( 18" wall height ).
The Bleach Clac told me the pool is 565 gallons & to use 6oz bleach !??? Is that enough?
For shock it said 1 cup 4oz?
I am using the caculator right??????
Oh gosh I told her to pour in 2 cups then I would get back with her and tell her the exact amounts. Can her kids swim in that?
As allways thank you for your help,

I use the Pool Calculator http://www.minbar.com/pool_calc.html because the bleach calc. doesn't work on the Mac.
It says that 2 cups of 6% bleach (Ultra) bring the FC in a 565 gal pool to 14 ppm, or 12 ppm FC if she used regular 5.25% bleach.
To produce 3 ppm FC with either strength would take 4 oz.
