    Default It just keeps raining

It's good for everything and I even like that it's filling up my pool for me, but I am constantly adding chlorine. There is a slight bit of alge around the edges where the floor meets the wall and on the bottom, but not to bad. I keep vacuming it and adding chlorine and then it pours again and I am back to 0 on my chlorine level. Ph stays the same durring all of this which is 7.4 - 7.6. Am I doing the right thing by adding chlorine everyday? Would it be a bad idea to maybe add every other day or every other other day?

Believe me, I feel your pain. Ordinarily if you already have a small bit of algae I'd say to shock the pool but with the incessant rain I think you'd be better off waiting to shock it....but don't delay the daily chlorine additions...they can be the difference between a slight bit of algae that shocking will kill when the rain stops, or a major bloom that takes your pool out of commission for much longer.

Been raining here daily almost since May. I know how you feel.

We got our first big rain since school was out in June today. I don't think it will help my grass much, its mostly toast except where we water it near the pool. I added Clorax before it stopped raining and turned on the filter once it stopped. I also broke down and bought some Algeside. I'm not sure if I'll use it or not, but if I remember from last year, everytime it rained I had issues. Must be all the pollution in the rain? So I'll shock and see how it goes. You get too much rain and we have too little.... Could you send a bit more up North? :-) Kimrst

It's raining right now and I am having to backwash the pool because the water level is at the top of the skimmer. And we are still under a water restriction.

Hang in there, it's gotta stop sometime. Just make sure that your chlorine level stays at the recommended minimum for your CYA level so that you don't have a huge algae bloom to deal with when it does stop.

Take advantage of the high water levels from the rain. Vacuum the #*! out of your pool on "WASTE", add algaecide and keep the chlorine levels. Primo opportunity to "get rid of" that unwanted water with vacuuming. Kills two birds w/ one stone
