    about 10.5 boxes will get you pretty close to 50 ppm and you will need about 3 gallons of acid. Add half the borax and half the acid and then add the rest of the borax and acid. Wait 24 hours and bring your pH down to 7.6. It will most likely be slightly higher than that.

    OK I purchased the acid and borax ( sorry if any one else is South San Antonio wants to add Borates to their pool I cleaned out Wallyworld.) Then as I'm a little OCD I was reading through the china shop posts and there was a discusion on the strengths of Muratic Acid. What I purchased at HD is the 31% Are we good to go? Hope this kills all the attack water bugs. Last night I had to pull one off of my little girl.
