    Default Newby with green water

Sorry guys. Newby here. I just bought a house with an above ground 10,000 pool. Took the cover off and the waters green. Been throwing lithium cloride to to no avail. The PH seems to be a little low. All I have is the test strips (I know they suck). Advice on how to procede. (I know I need a drop based test kit.) Why won't my clorine stay? Thanks in advance.

Go get your drops based kit and post the numbers. It's virtually impossible to help without them. You may have no CYA....you may have too much CC....just can't tell without those numbers
