Muriatic Acid and Home Depot

I went to my local Home Depot today to pick up some Muriatic Acid. I think I recalled finding it in the paint section last year. I asked a salesperson where I woudl find muriatic acis & they told me that HD doesn't carry it anymore. He was bummed because he uses it for his pool as well! Does anyone know why HD stopped carrying muriatic?

I was at 2 HD's this past weekend and both still had it in stock in the garden center.

I get mine from Lowes, it's in the paint section there.

You might also try a farm and ranch supply place. I found MA there for (now) $2.99/gallon and it's the 32% (?) concentration. It's in their plumbing section.

I bought MA this morning at the HD here in suburban New Orleans. They have it outside in the gardening section near the pool stuff.
