    Default Undissolved CYA Granules

    Hello all,

I've been searching, but can't find the answer....

I dissolved CYA in a bucket of warm water 2 pounds at a time using a drill and a paint mixer to pour into the pool. Despite my best efforts, there's about a pound of undissolved CYA granules running around the bottom of my pool. Is that a problem for the liner? Should I vacuum them up and backwash to waste?

    Many Thanks,
    Frank

I'm not sure about the threat to your liner. I would vacuum them up but not to waist. Get them in your filter to dissolve there.

    Thanks Phillbo,

I went out this morning and they were dissolved except for just a handful in a small divet in the bottom. That's about 18 hours with the pump on low. Didn't hurt the liner after all.

    Thanks for the reply!
