    Default need a quick reply???

    17000 av ground 1-month after conversion water is very clear:::: added 2 inches of water the other day, i have to shock the pool now but my numbers seem off alk 62 ph 7.8-8.2 0-fc cya 30 should i lower ph first then up alk as i read somewere else is that right how much stuff to lower ph to 7.2 its been 90's for a couple of days with all sun rain comeing thanks for a answer

    Not an authority but I just lowered my pH. I would add a pint of acid to start. Wait 24 hrs and test again. As you probably know this will lower pH and alkalinity. Then use baking soda to raise alkalinity.

    sounds ok i have granular form from when i had baq... it says about 32 oz to add if your ph is 7.8-8.0 is this to get it to normal i think??

    Your more immediate problem is the Cl at 0...it won't be long before you have a green pool. Get the Chlorine up, then lower your pH.
