    Default Polyquat in Canada?

Any Canadian members find Polyquat? I'm in Ottawa and haven't had any luck. If you are buying it, i would appreciate knowing what the brand is and where.

    Thanks.

Hey... I'm from the West coast and I have not found the polyquat 60% that is spoken of on this forum, however, I have been able to find something called Super Algae Kill 40% (which is the exact same ingredients as the Polyquat 60%) but with 20% less of the active ingredients.

I have found this product at Walmart made by the brand of pool supplies they carry called Pool Care.

    Have a look for it.
    I think I paid $17 for a litre (quart).

    Hi,
I'm from Guelph Ontario. I picked some up at my local pool store under the name GLB Pool Care, Algimycin Poly60. The label references a website at www.glbpoolspa.com, interestingly, I couldn't find Poly60 listed in the website.

I would try to mail order it or go on the internet. Leslie's sells it - I believe this is the right stuff: http://www.lesliespool.com/jump.jsp?itemType=PRODUCT&itemID=8110&iMainCat=14& iSubCat=106&iProductID=8110&tabID=2

    Thanks.
You can buy PolyQuat at Canadian Tire, Walmart (probably sold out by now), Home Hardware, and just about any pool store. Here in PEI, though, I can only find 40%, not 60. It sells from $15.99 to $21.99 a bottle, depending on where you buy it. Just look at the bottle for a really long chemical name beginning with Poly. Canadian Tire's product number is #81-3730-0, and it sells for $15.99 for a 1 litre bottle.

CTC and Walmart here didn't have it. I actually went to my local pool store (Campbell) for the first time since the spring and they are now carrying Poly60... at $23.99 per litre. That's about $20US per US quart, a bit more than the prices I've seen posted here, but at least is is available for winterizing!

I was in Rona Hardware today and they have an isle of pool chems, lotsa big jugs of cruddy algacide, and on the left side tucked away a stash of Poly 40 for $16.97 CDN for a litre. So that's 2 sources found in a week after 3 years of strikeouts.
