    Default Hayward Ultra and the Skimmer Vacuum Plate

    I just installed a Hayward Ultra Vacuum. Seems to be working great.

    Is anyone useing the Hayward Skimmer Vacuum Plate? I called the pool store for a quote and the guy told me they don't sell them and said the Pentair works better. (seems odd to have a Hayward Vac and buy another brand Vacuum Plate)

    anyway, how well do the skimmer plates work to switch between vacuum and skim the leaves off the top?
