    Default Solar Cover storage ideas?

Just curious if anyone has ideas for the temporary storage of solar covers. I have an AG with a small deck and we usually keep it on the deck but it takes up so much space. I'd also like to keep it off of the grass because that will lead to more debris in the pool. I was thinking of buying large hooks (usually used for bikes and ladders) and place them on the outside of the deck railings/posts.

    Any ideas??

    Thanks in advance

That would work - Sheppards Hooks work pretty well too. I use a set of 3 lined up to hang my hoses.

Our solar blanket is on a reel we built thats set into the ground off the back end of the pool - sits appx 1.5' above and 3' behind the pool. Reels up and away from the entire pool and only requires one person to reel up or put back on. Cost less than $40 to build. Matt's design, check out his pool pics, Huskerfan's or mine - we all have the same one.
    Beats driving to the lake!

We have an IG pool so hooks around the pool isn't a viable solution for us. We have an irregularally shaped 40x20 pool and the cover is heavy and cumbersome. We found that if we fan fold the cover about 3 to 4 feet then roll the cover up and put it into one of those very large trash cans with wheels and a hinged lid we can move it quite easily to the garage, shed, down to the basement, etc.

I put a couple of holes in the bottom to allow any water that remains on the cover to drain out. This seems to work quite well.

I used to have large hooks for it mounted to my pool uprights - it worked quite well, we'd just toss the rolled up cover over the pool wall and it would land in the hooks. Have removed them and replaced it all with a roller which is much nicer though..
