    Your CYA disappeared with the water you drained...you're going to have to add some more--you can get it at WalMart in a container marked conditioner, balancer, stabilizer, etc...if the active ingredient is cyanuric acid, that's the stuff. Follow label directions on amount to add to get your pool up to about 20-30 ppm, but add it in the skimmer or in a nylon hose in the skimmer or in front of a return, don't broadcast it in the pool like the label tells you to. It's going to take a week or so for it all to dissolve and show up in readable levels, so you don't want to backwash your filter or add more CYA until then, otherwise you risk adding too much.

    IN the meantime, make sure you're adding chlorine daily, preferably in the evening after the sun is off the pool, because the lack of CYA is going to cause your chlorine to be stolen away by the sun.

    Well, it has been a couple of weeks and things are going well . The pool is balanced for the most part. PH and TA (from what I have been told) are a little tougher to maintain in this area. However, crystal clear water and happy swimmers with clear eyes . Thanks, for all the help!!!
