funny story..i ran out of a supply of jb weld in case it still leaked so i stopped and bought some at the hardware store. came home, fired up the pump..and the water starts out of another part of the same piece of hose..so i went to home depot and bought...6 spare connectorsup and running again now!
Sounds like what you should be buying is a new piece of hose!
I keep a lot of everything around - you never know what my wife is going to run over with her riding lawnmower next! My dog quickly learned to stay out of her way.
Matt, You keep a spare dog? How about a spare wife? I just get criticized for keeping a significant stock of PVC stuff in the basement. Became a necessity when Home Depot was 30 miles away. Now I got a local one down the road but I still keep a good stash of most stuff. Two wells, two generators, even a spare electric water heater.

I did have a spare dog, however someone other than my wife ran him over.....
As for a spare wife - remember, she's the one on the lawnmower and the chances of her running over herself are slim to none.
As for generators - I only have one, however, I do have 3 sump pumps, a spare to kick in when a part breaks on pump 1, a battery backup one to kick in when the power goes out.
Shut off valves at both the skimmer and at return. Saved the day for us more than once.
Beats driving to the lake!
