    Default Light fixture, uhoh.

Last week I noticed that light was out. pulled it out, noticed water had seaped into it. I replaced bulb, as well as the gasket. One week later, light is working, but it is about 1/4 full of water.

I put plenty of silicone around the gasket, and thought I tightened it to spec. Don't know if may have done it wrong, or if water is seaping from the chord area. (If it is is, is it time to replace the fixture?)

Kinda worried to turn it on at this moment thinking there is water in the fixture...

(any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated..)

    Thanks!

You might want to remove the light again and clean the silicone off the gasket, then reinstall the gasket without the silicone. Some times the silicone will make the gasket pinch and cause water to come in. After reinstalling the gasket submerge the light in the water and see if air bubbles are coming up for a water tight fit. Do not use the light if there is water in it. Hope this helps.

Thumbs up Re: Light fixture, uhoh.

The gasket may have dry rotted (- - a little strange in a submerged peice of equipment, but it does happen) -- pull it back out and see if you need a new gasket.
