Default Change from sand to Zeolite, water now cloudy

Replaced my regular sand today with Zeolite. Guess I was supposed to backwash first before setting to filter now the pool is very couldy. I added some DE to the Zeo also. Should I turn off the filter to let the dust settle and vac to waste or keep the filter running 24/7 until clear?

Called the Zeolite manuf. He told me to use a clarifier to help the particles collect together. The pool store I bought it from told me to use a flocculent and filter on recirculate for an hour and then if still cloudy in a day or so use a clarifier. Would rather not put this stuff in the pool if I don't have to.

    Please any advice?

My pool water is perfectly balanced right now.
