Every CG package I have looked at (ebay and other online dealers) does not come with the fine filter bag. I don't believe the CG packages offers that anymore.

I, too, have been looking for a "deal." Although I want the extra power the CG says it has, I don't think I'm willing to pay $100 more for it considering I'm going to have to shell out an extra $27-30 for a fine filter bag.

I keep looking, but I really want to get one ordered quickly. Those darn birds keep messing up the pool. I think a quick clean up with the Pool Buster Max will be so much easier that vacuuming with a hose hooked up to the skimmer.

You are probably right, the Watertech site doesn't list it in the CG package anymore. Pity. We use the fine bag more often than the other. The "trick" of putting cotton balls in the regular bag to pick up finer stuff does work, but its not as easy as the bag. They just charge way to much for the bags!!

Ever since they switched to the Max product-line, I think they kept out the fine bag. The CG Max Gold has it, but lists on Watertech for $349 or something like that. $219 for the CG Max and an additional $25 for the bag was OK by me...

I paid right about 240 for my CG Max with the fine filter bag last year, so it does sound like you are getting a good price (the MSRP was 299 at the time).

Costco has the CG model for $269.99. This narrows the price cap to only $80. Still no sand and silt filter though.

Since Costco online had both of them, I went ahead and bought the Max version thinking that if it didn't have enough suction I could always return it and get the CG model. It arrived and I'm happy to say it sucks. So it won't be getting returned. I also picked up the sand and silt bag off of ebay for it.

The one thing I love about this little guy is that I can turn the pump off and vacuum allowing me to see the bottom clearly. Thanks to everyone that replied.
