Default Filter pump cord length and some other electrical questions?

I see that it is 3 feet. Is there any way that you are allowed to extend this? I have read several postings on the electrical and will most likely need to get an electrician to run a dedicated breaker to my back yard. Placement is now the key.

My pool will be situated about 20 feet from the house

Also, we have a small deck attached to the house where he would most likely come out. No way to get under the deck to dig a trench. Wondering what options we have to run a line under? This deck is still about 10 feet away from the pool.

    Thanks

Depending on the code, 3' may be the maximum cord length allowed. We have that same restriction. Because we too have a deck, the electrician ran conduit on the underside of the deck to carry the 220v line. This met the electrical code. It's also far less expensive that way.

Thanks for the reply Carl. I was hoping to hear that. I think we can run the conduit under the deck and then dig a trench along side the patio to where we will end up. This trench would only have to be about 5 feet long.

I will have to look up the restricions on how close the electrical can be to the pool, but I believe there are several places to find that.

    Thanks again...
