We just took the cover off 2 nights ago. Did preliminary tests before we added water to fill her up and be able to run the pump. We added chlorine to the water tank when we filled (we are on a well and haul water in for our pool from the city) so the chlorine would shock the pool and kill the algae. Initial report showed 0 CYA, so I went ahead and added CYA in a sock in the skimmer basket once we got the pump going.

Test results this AM:

24 ft round AG approx 15,000gal

FC = 12
CC = 0
Alk = 120
pH = 6.8-7.2 was a good 7.2 before we finished filling
CYA = 0 - I could see it fading a little, but it needs to come up more
cal - didn't test since it is AG

My first thought is to add Borax (any advice on how much?) and let the CYA finish dissolving. Any other ideas?
