Re: What's everyone's 2 cents here on pump time?
The electric plan I am on gives me a discount on electricity between 9pm - 9am so I only run my pump at night. During the winter it runs about 4 hours a night. As the temps increase and I need more chlorine generated I slowly increase the run time to 8-10 hours as needed.
The pool will stay clean with as little as 4 hours a night but I'd have to turn my cell up too much to generate enough chlorine.
