I've read a few times here that it is not recommended to add dirt to bring a spot up to level due to compaction issues...
However, I have one corner of my pool area that's about 2" low... everything else seems to be very close to level....
Could I get away with building that area up if I were to rent a plate compactor, and use water to settle the area?
My alternative is paying someone to come level it with machinery, because I'm not about to try and dig 800 square feet of hard packed clay/silt down 2-3"
Advice?
