Does anyone know how I repair a hairline crack in my vinyl steps? The crack is at the very top of the steps (out of the water) and its about 4 inches long.
Should I use some kind of glue?
Thanks

40'x28' I/G L-shaped, vinyl liner pool, with an estimated 40,000 gallons of water.
Been using BBB for over a year! Excellent results!
Have the same problem. I haven't figured what to do yet concerning the actual fix but I was thinking about how to do a dry fix without dropping the pool level. You may get a chuckle but the dam will work. Naturally, Winter came and went and I didn't do my research.

Poconos, you never cease to amaze me....
I've got a crack on the second level of steps. Last year I drained to just below, then drilled and smoothed the crack with a dremel, back filled with expanding foam, applied underwater epoxy repair (Loc-tite), then sanded and painted white. Lasted about 2 weeks. Did a quick repair again without draining/painting using the same loc-tite, and it lasted a month. Must be too rigid for the application.
I've seen an Elmers product for tub/shower basins that may work. I'm definately keyed up on Al's dam, that looks like a fun project to tackle.
I'm going to contact the poolstepspecialists and see if they have a repair kit.
