    Default start up ?

Can I start my pump to go to waste right away? I would like to get the anti freeze out of the pool water. I am going to try this in a few hours

    Thanks

Yep. Or backwash. I do the same thing for the same reason.

Send it to waste, I would NOT backwash with it as this would get the antifreeze into the filter medium which might then re-enter the pool. I routinely run it to waste just as you are suggesting when I open the pool. You only need to run it for about a minute or so to fully clear the lines and dump all the antifreeze.

Thanks for the info. I sent the anti-freeze to waste. I put in bleach to a level of 15ppm with cya of 30. The water was clear this morning and the cl level is 13 tc with 0 cc. The ph is 7.3. The pool need a vac bad. alk is 80. So far so good.

    cheers,
    Ed
