Hi All,
I read a lot on this website about the BBB method and feel that I may be missing the point. I have not fully used the BBB method before.
I can see using Borax and Backing Soda but I think that using Bleach would be more of a hassle then it is worth.
At the beginning of the season I go buy a big bucket of 3" pucks for around $130.00 and this is usually enough for my 32,000 gallon IG vinyl pool. Every week or so I take the bucket out to my Haywood automatic chlorinator and throw a few pucks in and I am done. Between natural water evaporation, water splash out, and any backwashing my cya stays pretty good.
It seems to me that having to always go buy the bleach, find a place to store cases of it, the hassle of all the empty bottles, calculating how much I need to add depending on what strength I bought, and having to add bleach to the pool manually everyday or so would not make the little bit of savings worth it.
I am not disrespecting anyone's choice to use bleach, I just want to know if I am missing something that would make it all worth it?
Flame suit on!! :-)
