    Question Salt Water Generator

I have an ag 24' pool that I've been using Bleach, Borax, and Baking Soda in for the past several years. I'm tired of lugging the gallons of Bleach, plus the cost goes up every year. I'd like to put in a salt generator, but don't know which to buy...does anyone have suggestions? I'd also would like to know any pros/cons of doing this!!

I have a Polaris Autoclear SWG and it's done a great job. However, I've found no one else in the forum who mentions having one so I don't have anyone to discuss it with. My bro-in-law called me last week to ask what brand to get and I told him to go with Aquarite and plug into this forum. Lots of discussions and testimonials to learn from. Good luck!

I think I read somewhere that SWCG's and AGP's don't mix well together... maybe I am wrong. I know there is a new unit on the market made for the smaller AGP's by intex

Goldline make the AquaTrol SWG for above ground pools and Pool Pilot has the Cubby (not sure if they still make it, though.)

You might want to try posting this in the salt generator ("chlorine feeder") forum for more responses.

I have an inground pool and LOVE my Autopilot chlorine generator - I wouldn't be able to maintain my pool myself without it.

Apologies to Poolsean. I should have steered my bro-in-law to an Autopilot SWG, which is what I was thinking of when I told him Aquarite. Still, I'm sure he'll be happy with the Aquarite.
