stains around drains

I have SWG and Diamond Brite pool. There are stains around the 2 main drains. Any suggestions on removal would be appreciated.

How to remove the stains is going to depend on what caused them in the first place. Have you already tried rubbing them with vitamin C?

I have the same problem around my main drain. Brushing has lightend the stain but it is still there. I also raised the pool to shock level and that didn't help. The stain has been there since we opened the pool this season. There was a lot of worms aroung the main drain when we opened this season. The pool has a vinyl liner. If I am going to try the Vitamin C do I put it in anything or do I just rub the acutual tablet on it?

I swam down this weekend and tried a Mr Clean magic eraser and that did nothing.
