I see most of the units run up to 40,000 gallons. Maybe you can use 2 units in parallel, that may help the lifespan of the SWG's and still give you the santization you need.

and I dont think there is any downside to using it in a vinyl pool or at least none that i have ever heard of.

    donfranko,

AutoPilot offers an SC-60 cell that can handle up to 50,000 gallons with a single cell. However, please note that the ratings provided by manufacturers are based upon your system operating 24/7 @ 100% output and ideal operating conditions.

Make sure you research what a manufacturer calls a commercial system, as for some, this is nothing more than the residential cell that is NSF approved.

The easiest way to determine your pool gallonage is to take each L section separately, then add the volumes together. In other words, pick a point to separate the two sections of your pool.
    20 x 32 x 4' (average depth of 3.5' and 4.5') x 7.5 = 19,200 gallons
    20 x 25 (45' - 20') x 6.5 (average depth of 4.5' and 8.5') x 7.5 = 24,375 gallons
    total volume = 43,575 gallons.
Next question is how many hours per day are you running your pump?
How warm will the water temperature be at the hottest part of the swim season?
How many people will be using this pool under the heaviest period?
    Is this indoor or outdoor?
Do you have any water features or water falls?

If any of these conditions are higher than a typical back yard pool, then you may need to go to a two cell system, which would not be a bad idea anyway.
