Default Chipmunk spent winter at bottom of pool... drain pool and start over?

Recently while scooping leaves off the bottom of the pool, my wife found a surprise.... a water logged chipmunk. As cute as they are running about in the yard, they are pretty gross after a long time at the bottom of the pool. My question is this: Do I need to drain the pool and start fresh? Or will the water, once balanced and sanitized etc, be ok.

Just to state the obvious.... we did remove the little fellow and disposed of his mortal remains.

    Thanks,

    Suicidal Chipmunks, moles, squirrels....oh my!

From reading your other posts, by the time you've maintained your free Cl level high enough to have clear water, you'll have no worries about the chipmunk remains. You can read some of the posts in the critters section for more info.

You'll gain loads and loads of great info by reading the stickies in the various sections!

    You're fine...no draining needed.

If I had to drain my pool everytime I found a dead chipmunk in it, the pool would be empty all summer!
