Default swg adjusting salt and stabilizer for season

I went to the pool store for a test since I don't have a salt test at home and it rained A LOT this year. Here are the results followed by results from testing at home today:

    37-40,000 gallon in-ground plaster pool
    swg for chlorine
    solar heat
gas heat (not using until I have to...)
Turbo solar liquid cover (it does work, not as good as a plastic cover, but better than nothing)
current temp--rising, but 71 degrees today.

    pool store measuremnts 4/19:
    FC 2.5
    TAC 2.5
    pH 8.0
    Alk 80
    Cal 650
    Cya 45
    TDS 2500
    Phosphates 2500
Salinity 4.5 (2390-2610) ppm--I'm going to have to adjust this

    PS233 measurements 4/20:
    FC 2
    CC 0
    TC 2
pH 7.4 (I adjusted to this with muriatic acid today)
    Alk 90
    Cal 520
    Cya 55

Got it? Looks as though I DO have some salt to add to the pool! My Zodiac Clearwater chart says 500 pounds. UGH! I didn't get that the salinity reading was an absolute number and has to be converted to ppm. I also might have to add some stabilizer. My Clearwater manual says that the stabilizer is in range but that in sunnier climates I should have closer to 100. Is that true? Should I add cya? What a great position to be in for me...my cya was always very high at 160 but the rain seems to have diluted things a bit.

Hm, 500# of salt? That seems like a lot. That would add 1500 ppm of salt, which with even using your lowest number, would put you at 3800 ppm, which sounds kinda high to me. What ppm are you supposed to be running at?

Having your CYA at 100 likewise sounds high. I'm in Houston, tx, run mine at 40 ppm and have no problems. Your alk looks a touch low, I'd aim for 120 or so.
