Looks like my PH may be stabilizing, the last 3 days it's held at 7.6 with no muriatic needed.
Week 2 of the new pool and things are going well. The BBB method/Best guess chart is simple and effective. My numbers are looking better as well:
Water temp: 63
FC: 7.5
CC: 0
PH: 7.6
CYA: 55 (Up from 25)
TA: 170 (Down from 210)
CH: 220 (Up from 200)
To maintain these numbers, I add 4 cups of Clorox, and 2 cups of muriatic acid daily. Water has remained crystal clear. About 20 more days and the SWCG will be fired up.
For the bean counters, this comes to approx $15/month for Clorox (7.5 gallons). Approx $10/month in muriatic acid, though this is dropping in use as alkalinity drops.
I really pleased with the in-floor cleaning system---I was skeptical about what it would do, but it works very well.
