Wink Wanting to move my pump and filter

Has anyone ever moved their pump and filter. Does the longer pipes affect the ability of the filter to filter the water. I am wanting to build a poolhouse, but the pump and filter are not where I want them when I'm finished with the poolhouse. I guess what I am trying to say is, does the piping affect the system. Thanks for the support....Patrick

How far is the equipment away from the pool now? How far will it be away when your finished? Do you have a heater?

Yes, the piping effects the system. Longer piping, elbows etc. increase friction i.e backpressure i.e. head. You can mitigate this with larger pipes, and less elbows (90's).
