Steve, congrats on the new pool! As Janet said, the numbers are good as they stand, but if you'd like to add ~ 50 ppm of calcium, it wouldn't hurt. I've 'run' your numbers on the Watergram that came with my Taylor kit, and for any water temp you're likely to have, the water is within ballance. (If you'd like to read a little about the Watergram/ satration index - see Donnies current post - it's one of the ones that is being updated daily right now, so should show up if you hit the 'NewPosts' option at the top of the page - for more technichal and detailed info, there's a post in the china shop on the indecies).
If you want to add cal and cl at the same time you can use calcium hypochlorite (granular chlorine) to raise them both, or you can use bleach and calcium flakes to do the same thing. **One caution, it's usually advised NOT to add salt for 2 - 4 weeks after new plaster is applied ( if you want the links, I can dig them up), so you will need to 'manually' add chlorine durring that time. This may be a good oppertunity for you to use bleach, cal-hypo, and trichlor pucks (the moderator Poconos uses all 3 durring a season) as you definately want to get some cl and cya in there and could stand to have a bit more calcium.
I'm purposely not going into too much detail here, but if you want a little more detail, I and the others will be glad to provide it. Again, congrats on the pool!!![]()
